Research Impact

UFH Repositories

An Institutional Repository (IR) is an essential extension of an academic institution's activities, designed to support research and development, safeguard intellectual contributions, and enhance scholarly communication among users affiliated with the institution. The IR comprises digital materials produced by students, research scholars, and faculty members, which are made accessible to both internal and external users, often with certain limitations. (Kaladhar A, Naick BR, Rao KS, 2018).

The key characteristics of an IR include:

  • Documentation of intellectual contributions from individuals within the institution
  • Comprehensive web content management, encompassing storage and hosting capabilities.
  • Provision of data that is beneficial for research and development initiatives.
  • Availability of subject-specific current information.
  • Effective operability and control over its functional processes. (Kaladhar A, Naick BR, Rao KS, 2018).
