Papers may cover any area of accounting, broadly defined and including corporate governance, auditing and taxation. However the focus must be accounting, rather than (corporate) finance or general management. Authors may take a theoretical or an empirical approach, using either quantitative or qualitative methods. They may aim to contribute to developing and understanding the role of accounting in business.

Accounting & Taxation
Accounting & Taxation publishes high-quality articles in all areas of accounting, auditing, taxation and related areas. Theoretical, empirical and applied manuscripts are welcome for publication consideration. The Journal, first published in 2009, is currently published once per year by the Institute for Business and Finance Research, LLC. The Journal overall acceptance rate is between 15 and 20 percent. All papers submitted to the Journal are blind reviewed and authors receive reviewer comments.
